United States Senator Richard Burr's office visits Moncure Plywood
A staff person from North Carolina Senator Richard Burr’s office visited two different forest product facilities in North Carolina last month. The staffer, Kara Weshaar, toured Uniboard USA and Moncure Plywood with NCFA Executive Vice President Bob Slocum. The visit was came at the request of Senator Burr’s office to learn more about the forest products industry and the emerging issues facing the industry. “We appreciate when our elected officials take enough interest in our industry to visit with us or send a representative to gather information on the ground,” stated Slocum. “We need to make sure our elected officials pay attention to our traditional manufacturing industries - especially one as broad as forest products.”
